According to reports, the first phase of Marineland Antibes’ planned dolphin relocations is now underway, with eight animals having left the facility.
The dolphins involved in this transfer are Joe (born 2011, Marineland), Anya (2011, Marineland), Tux (2011, Oceanogràfic), Kai (2014, Marineland), Neo (2006, Marineland), Lua (2020, Marineland), Dam (1999, Madrid Zoo), and Rocky (1997, Madrid Zoo). They are reportedly being transported to Selwo Marina in Spain.
The four dolphins still at Marineland are expected to be transferred to Oceanogràfic at a later stage. As for Wikie and Keijo, there has been no further information released about their situation.
