The Beauval Zoo has officially abandoned plans to build its proposed dolphinarium, meaning the project will no longer go ahead.
The facility was intended to provide a new home for dolphins from Marineland Antibes and Planète Sauvage, near Nantes. In July 2026, eight of the 12 dolphins from Antibes were temporarily transferred to Selwo Marina in Málaga, Spain.
With the Beauval project now cancelled, the future of all these dolphins remains uncertain.
