Members of the Dolphinaria-Free Europe coalition actively engage both in collaborative coalition work and in pursuing individual initiatives aligned with our shared mission. Over the summer months, several coalition members have been monitoring dolphinaria across Europe to assess the welfare conditions of captive cetaceans.
One such investigation was conducted at Adaland Dolphinpark in Kuşadası, Turkey. We are sharing this informal audit report prepared by coalition member Jakub Banasiak in July this year, which outlines the observed conditions for the dolphins housed at this facility. This report aims to contribute to greater transparency and awareness regarding the treatment of captive dolphins and to support our ongoing advocacy for an end to dolphin captivity in Europe.
